I Promise I Didn't Eat This All in One Day!

So I don't think anyone really reads this, and I'm suuuuper lazy, so here is a big combined blog of nearly a weeks worth of food.

This is Bruschetta N' Cheese Stuffed Chicken. Holy Bologna is it good! Very easy and very delicious, but it does not keep well. By the next day, the left overs smelled like rancid raccoon. The only variation I made to the recipe was how the chicken was stuffed. The recipe says to roll the chicken with the stuffing inside. I butterflied the chicken and then just folded the chicken back over the stuffing. I think much easier. I will be making this again. Recipe Here.

This night, we made Bourbon Chicken. I've had my fair share of disastrous Asian chicken recipes, but this was delicious. Jerad made from scratch fried rice to go with it. Recipe Here

This recipe was sort of... eehhhhh. It was good, but boring. A great base soup for other flavors. It was potato soup in the crock pot using hash browns. But again it was sort of boring. Add a lot of cheese, or bacon, or green onion, or sausage, or anything with great flavor and this could be something special. I added green onion, cheese, and bacon. Then paired it with toasted Ciabatta bread. Umm. Recipe Here.

THIS M&M COOKIE PIE WAS FOO SHIZZLE THE GREATEST DESSERT EVER!!! As you can see, the men in my house couldn't even wait until I took a picture to dig into this one. I made 2 of these last week, because I only got 1 piece and it was gone in 6 hours. Recipe Here.

This is my favorite pasta. It is soo good, but it definitely tastes better if you use fresh vegetables. It's so good. Have I said it's so good yet? Recipe Here.

I just made this, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies. Like 10 minutes ago. My only issue is that it uses only a small portion of a can of pumpkin puree, and I am never going to use the rest of that can so it sits in my fridge for 2 weeks. I feel like I'm wasting food. These are really good, but the batter is really thick and a bit difficult to mix by hand. Otherwise, I'll make this again. Recipe Here.

On another note, last night was Halloween. Jerad has a family and friends dinner party every year so we went. He told me everyone dresses up, so I had too. I am WAY to cheap to buy myself a costume, but face paint is extremely cheap and I have a steady hand. So this year I wore all black, the cape I bought for my friends Halloween wedding last year, and then did this to my face.

I dyed my hair blue a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't just for Halloween. It's been pink for months, but blue is just AMAZING. It's my favorite.
The costume party was less of a costume party and more of a dinner where Jerad and I were the only one dressed up, we watched the news, and counted how many children came to the house. It was okay. The fun part was when Jerad and I were walking around the neighborhood. All the kids kept yelling, "LOOK! There's the Marine Man!!" and a group of little girls called me The Walking Witch. The apparently thought I was a real witch, pretending to be a pretend witch, and I was picking out the children I was going to kidnap. I can't wait to have kids. :)

Laundry, Italian, and Raspberry Lemonade

I made quite a few things yesterday.

First off was Liquid Laundry Detergent. It's only 4 ingredients and you get to choose your own soap. You can pick unscented and add your own essential oil in any scent you choose. Jerad and I choose a Pomegranate/Mango soap. This detergent smells DELICIOUS. and it was so easy, and cheap. I also put it in a drink container with a spout. No disgusting goopy scoops. A turn on and off spout and a measuring cup. Cute! Recipe Here

For dinner, we made Baked Cheese Sticks, French Bread Pizza, and The Cheesecake Factory's recipe for Raspberry Lemonade.
The Cheese Sticks were so yummy. We skipped a step because we were hungry so they didn't keep their shape. They flattened out. But oh so good. We also make our own pasta sauce. I hate the jarred stuff. Recipe Here

We didn't have enough cheese on ours, but man were they good. Takes 5 minutes to make, 5 minutes in the oven. 4 Times quicker than frozen pizza, twice as good, and twice as cheap. I don't see the bad. Recipe Here
And finally there's the Raspberry Lemonade. It's good, but it needed either less lemon or more sugar. And in my opinion, it's not worth it. It is good, but not worth using the blender and straining the seeds. It doesn't taste any different than any other Raspberry Lemonade I've ever had. But Here's the Recipe

Ta Ta for Now.

Baked Chicken Fajitas

Tonight's dinner was Baked Chicken Fajitas. They were soooo good. We put them in warm tortilla's and added lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. We also had some left over tortilla chips from dinner with my family the other night. We crumbled those on top of the fajitas. Gave it this wonderful crunch. Plus those chips were the best I'd ever had. Recipe Here.

In other news, I had the most wonderful week/weekend. On Thursday, Jerad and I decided to spend the entire day together, I wasn't allowed to work and he wasn't allowed to play video games. The day started with Jerad making me an omelet and serving it to me in bed. After that we went to the Grassmere zoo for several hours and I GOT TO SEE ELEPHANTS!!!! :) Then we came home, put chili in the crock pot, took the dog out, and drove next door to the park. Walked around and ended up at the library. After that we came home and watched movies together.

Friday, not great. Spent the day at the DMV. Jerad got his new license with his new address in 5 minutes. I had to wait 2 HOURS to get my new address and my married name. It took 2 hours to show someone my wedding license and get a new name. Ridiculous.

Saturday, Jerad dropped me off at my dads. Dad, Parker, and I went to the gun store just to look around. Then Parker, Dad, Haley and I went to lunch and then to see Taken 2. I loved it. After that, Parker and I met Jerad, My Aunt, Cousin, Cousin/Niece (The wonderful Mayah), and the Darling Clan to see my Cousins Ultimate Frisbee game. We visited, had dinner, and caught up. It was wonderful!

Yesterday, had lunch with my parents and then while Jerad and I went grocery shopping, Parker creeped on us. Followed us around because he was bored. Ha. I love that boy. Too much.

Today, I watched Reversal of Fortune, which reminded my how wonderfully perfect my Aunt Stephie's taste in movies is.

Ta Ta for now.
Have a wonderful week!

Pasta, Broccoli, Pasta, Chicken, and Cake

Food Time

Several nights ago we made A Cajun Chicken Pasta. The recipe was a bit runnier than we anticipated so extra cheese was added and it was AMAZING.
A few nights later, Jerad and I went on a date to O'Charleys to use a gift card we received for our birthdays. Jerad ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta... Ours was better. Way better. This recipe will become a staple in our house. Recipe Here

Tonight we had Crock Pot Sour Cream and Bacon Chicken, Spicy Broccoli, Parmesan Basil Orzo, and a Chocolate Coke-a-Cola cake for dessert.
The broccoli was raw. I washed it then just tossed it in Paprika and red pepper flakes. Um.

This isn't one of those place in a crock pot and leave all day meals. Sadly. But it is very easy. It cooks in 4 hours on low, 2 on high. Any longer and the chicken is over done and slightly mushy. Recipe Here

This was SOOOOOO good. I made the whole amount, I usually half recipes since it's just the two of us, so I could have lunch tomorrow. I just knew this would be delicious.Recipe Here

It's so yummy. The cinnamon is more pronounced than I thought. It makes it so much better. The icing called for 4 cups of Confectioners sugar. Dumb Dumb me grabbed a box of regular sugar at the store. EVERY box around the one I grabbed was confectioners. Except the one I grabbed.... This would happen to me. Of course I'm too cheap to drive back to the store so I used regular sugar instead. and I only used a cup instead of 4. It's not nearly as sweet as it should be and It wasn't thick at all. Which is fine with me. I hate icing normally and this version made it crazy moist and wonderful with ice cream. Recipe Here

Look at what I did!

I'm sure no one reads my blog, but I've been hearing people say that Pinterest is useless because no one actually does what they pin. Well I do. Especially since Jerad and I just moved back to Nashville and we're closer to craft stores. Most of the recipes I cook were found on Pinterest, but I'll start showing them on here.

But first, a recap of the last year.

  1. I got married.
  2. Jerad and I moved to South Carolina.
  3. We adopted a precious baby that I love more than life! Draco Tacos Frazier.(Weird story)
  4. Jerad got out of the military.
  5. We moved back to Nashville and got our first apartment.
  6. I've been spending a lot of time with Parker now that we've moved back, he joined the Army, and has been stationed at Fort Campbell only and hour and some change away.
  7. Parker and I got tattoos last weekend. He got a cross and the initials SML on his right shoulder, and I got this!
It says I Love You in my birth mothers handwriting. I had been wanting a tattoo for a while, but I understand that they are permanent and I didn't want something I like today but may not 20 years from now. While packing the house in Beaufort, I found a letter to my dad from mom which she signed, 'I love you, Stacey' and I knew instantly that that was what I wanted and I would NEVER regret it. I love it. Plus my husband keeps pointing to my wrist and smiling. His silent way of telling me he loves me in public. :)

So here's my first project.

I splatter painted each canvas with about 5 different colors and then sprayed them liberally with a water bottle to give it a water color look. Once that dried, I took masking tape and taped off sections, then painted the entire thing a gray blue. After that dried, I peeled off the tape and outlined each section with a dark red. I love it.
